Set up Midleton Physiotherapy Clinic in 1989 …

Bernadette qualified from U.C.D. in 1988 with a first class honours degree in physiotherapy. In 1989 she established the Midleton Physiotherapy Clinic while continuing to work in Cork hospitals to advance her clinical knowledge and skills, especially in orthopaedic medicine.

1990 Qualified Acupuncturist

In 1990 she completed a Diploma in Acupuncture with the British College of Acupuncture to complement her physiotherapy practice, which she then continued on a full time basis.

Treatment of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system is her main area of work and she frequently combines her physiotherapy and acupuncture skills to offer a more holistic approach to patient care.

What Our Clients Say …

Well worth a visit …

As a stroke survivor, I struck gold when I was recommended, by a family member, to go to Midleton Physiotherapy Clinic for the ongoing physiotherapy needed by me to maintain my quality of life.

From the onset I was inspired by the accessibility of the clinic, the courteous friendly reception staff and the professionalism, confidence and quality of personal care I receive from the physiotherapist, Bernadette Whelan.

I currently attend the clinic on a fortnightly basis and no matter what problem I present, ( of which there have been many-back pain, neck stiffness, pain in my shoulder, elbow, upper arm,) Bernadette, with her knowledge and expertise can pinpoint exactly the source of my problem and formulate a plan to relieve my pain.

During the past five years, the clinic has always facilitated me with emergency treatments whenever needed. Because I am so happy with my care, on my recommendation, my husband, other family members and some of my friends now attend the clinic and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is suffering and would like to improve their quality of life.” – Deirdre O’ Herlihy, Guileeen
